The Rotary Club of Kahului will host Bruce U’u and Haloa Dudoit of the nonprofit Maui Nui Empowered at its weekly meeting from 12 to 1 p.m. Hopefully they will come early again this year.” Last year the first humpback whales arrived in September.

Those who are interested can come to Sugar Beach on North Kihei Road a half-hour before paddling start times to sign a waiver, be fitted for a paddle and receive instruction.
